Delete your DrBell account
This page is for DrBell, published by Newtact Lab Private Limited (OPC). It explains how to have your account and the records in it deleted, what goes, and what does not.
You do not have to delete the whole account to delete data. One person and their entire history, a caregiver's access, or a single photograph can each be removed on their own, and the section Deleting less than everything below says how.
In the app — the fastest way
- Open DrBell and sign in.
- Your account → Delete my account.
- Type your own phone number to confirm. That is the only step; there is no
password.
If you have uninstalled the app, or cannot sign in
Email hello@drbell.app from the address or with the phone number on the account, and ask for it to be deleted. We acknowledge within 72 hours and complete it within 30 days.
What is deleted
Everything about you and everyone you look after:
- your account, your name, your phone number and email address
- every person you added, and for each of them: their medicines, their
schedules, every dose recorded, their appointments, their daily routine and any note about their condition
- every photograph — of a strip, of a prescription — deleted from storage,
not merely unlinked
- every reminder that had been scheduled, and every share link you created for
a doctor
- the caregivers you invited lose their access at the same moment
What is kept, and why
A record that an action happened, with your identity removed from it. Where our audit trail shows that a record was read or changed, the entry survives with the person's identity stripped out of it. An audit trail that can be erased by the person it would incriminate is not an audit trail, and a care home's residents rely on it.
Nothing kept this way can be used to identify you or to contact you.
How long it takes
Thirty days. Deleting your account starts a thirty-day grace period, and this is deliberate: your reminders keep working during it. Somebody who deletes an account by accident, or in a bad moment, is not left without their medication reminders for a month. Sign in again at any point in those thirty days and the deletion is cancelled.
After thirty days it is erased and cannot be recovered by us or by anyone.
Deleting less than everything
You do not have to delete the account to remove data from it:

Each is immediate and needs nobody's permission.
One case we refuse
If you are the only owner of a care home organisation, deleting your account is refused until you transfer it or erase it. Its residents' records belong to the organisation rather than to you, and an organisation with no owner can no longer approve staff or erase a discharged resident — a state nothing in the product could recover from.
Taking your data with you first
Your account → Download a copy gives you everything we hold, as one file, before you delete any of it.
