About DrBell
Why
Most medication reminder apps are built for someone who takes one tablet a day and reads English comfortably. That is not who needs one most.
The person who needs one most is a 74-year-old on eight medicines, three of them at different times relative to meals, who cannot always read the strip in the drawer and whose daughter lives in another city and worries. Or a child on a ten-day antibiotic whose parents are both working. Or a care home nurse walking a corridor with thirty residents and a paper round sheet.
DrBell is built for those three.
What that changes
- The main screen is one card with a photograph of the actual strip, because
a name means little to someone on eight medicines and a picture of what is in the drawer means everything.
- "1-0-1 A/F" is a first-class input, because that is how prescriptions are
written in India, and it resolves against when you eat rather than a fixed clock.
- The languages are real languages, not a machine pass over English, and a
notification template does not ship until a native speaker has reviewed it.
- A missed dose reaches a person, not a badge on an icon.
- The app never tells you what to take. It tells you what your doctor said.
